Insurance & Payment Options

Your insurance plan may cover all, part, or none of the cost of hearing aids. However, they generally cover all ancillary costs, like your evaluation. In addition to insurance coverage, alternative options such as Texas Workforce funding and six-month, 0% financing are available.

Accepted Insurance Plans:

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS): We are in-network with BCBS and accept a variety of their plans to suit your healthcare needs.
  • Aetna: As an in-network provider with Aetna, we ensure access to quality audiology services.
  • Medicare: Our clinic is in-network and accepts Medicare.
  • Other Insurances: We are actively working on getting in-network with other insurance providers including United and others. Please call for the latest information.

How We Compare to Other Clinics

Other clinics in the area are typically about 25% more expensive for the same technology. Our treatment plans are more affordable because we are a locally owned clinic and do not have the overhead of a franchised/corporate office. We are the only local provider-owned clinic in Lakeway, and we also have special arrangements with the technology manufacturers to keep prices down.

Our hearing aid price range: $1900–$6400
Other clinics in the area: $2375–$8000

If you’re comparing options, it may be helpful to know that corporate retail chains like New Sound and Miracle-Ear offer lower-tier technology but at full price. These offices are also rarely staffed by an Audiologist, which can affect the overall care experience. Our patients have not reported positive experiences at these chains.

Hearing Aids in the Costco Price Range

We offer hearing aids that are in a similar price range to Costco hearing aids. However, we typically don’t recommend these hearing aids except for very select cases.

Costco and over-the-counter (OTC) hearing aids are significantly less effective at treating hearing loss, and particularly do not provide much assistance when hearing in noise, which is where most patients struggle. They are also typically ineffective at helping with tinnitus (learn more about tinnitus treatment). If you’re considering Costco/OTC options, we’re happy to talk through what’s most appropriate for your hearing needs.
